In traditional Arabic the MAGAZ is the path leading between two points.
Magaz is the path between the here and there, often it is straight and most often it is meandering, twisted, or even bent. In all cases it is a connector, it allows us to get from one point to another and through that trip we learn.
MAGAZ connects the design fields together as explorative and creative thought processes; it connects design with industry, business, as well as with t he community at large.
Our mission is to become a leading forum for presenting, debating and critiquing design ideas and projects empowering all segments of the local design community to find and express their voices within the broader international discourse.
MAGAZ acts as a pathway for design and designers from this part of the world to the rest of the world.
in constructive dialogue as the main vehicle for authentic discourse
in the worthiness and willingness to work for a better world through creativity
that innovation is the key to most of our endeavors
that authenticity and quality are the means to combating mediocrity that differentness has value to be capitalized on
Each month MAGAZ will provide a window onto the expanding world of design, exposing readers to a wide range of ideas and outlooks. The content can be divided into three main sections:
