Amal Shafik
Born in 1982 in Alexandria, Egypt, with a degree in Architecture from the College of Fine Arts, and can’t wait to reach my mid-thirties, they say it’s the age you figure out what life is all about. Never worked as an architect and never will, wish to keep working as a curator to serve those who produce any kind of art, following my favorite quote:
"The arts are not way to make a living. They are a very human way of making life bearable. Practicing an art, no matter how well or badly, is a way to make your soul grow, for heaven's sake. Sing in the shower. Dance to the radio. Tell stories. Write a poem to a friend, even a lousy one. Do it as well as you possibly can. You will get an enormous reward. You will have created something." From “A man Without a Country” a novel written by Kurt Vonnegut.
