The Urban SOS: Water competition seeks creative design, planning and engineering responses to urban sites facing water-based challenges. Water is central to every aspect of city life: from basic human sustenance and public health to environmental remediation and overall urban renewal.Responses can range from a strategic framework to a surgical micro-response, from a whole landscape system to a single piece of architecture or infrastructure. Entrants will be judged on their feasibility, creativity and multi-disciplinary approach.

A Logo for Human RightsDeadline:

At present there is no internationally recognized symbol for human rights. The “Logo for Human Rights” initiative wants to change that! Logos win people over through their symbolic power, distinctiveness, clarity and universal applicability. Bartcelona International Design ContestDeadline:

Bartcelona.org design edition is launching a contest for professional designers as well as design students with the aim of promoting creativity and making it possible for young designers to realize their ideas and reflect upon the way in which design – from its most practical to its most abstract expressions – influences the shopping mall experience. The contest is open to people of all nationalities between the ages of 18 and 40 who study or work in the field of design, either individually or collectively.
